  • 1 (16 oz.) can sliced peaches
  • 1 lb. ground sausage
  • 2 cups baking mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1â�„4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 TBS corn starch
  • 3â�„4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 TBS butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13- by- 9-inch baking dish.
Drain the peaches and reserve juice. Brown sausage into crumbles. Mix the baking mix, egg and milk together and spread in the greased pan. Sprinkle sausage crumbles over batter and press in lightly; top with peaches and press lightly.
Bake for 30 minutes or until done. Cut into squares and serve hot with sauce.
For the sauce, combine 1�2 cup of peach juice with the sugar and cornstarch; cook until mixture bubbles and thickens. Remove from heat and stir in the maple syrup and butter.
