FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE

For cake batter:
2 eggs, well beaten
2 cups sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1â�„2 cup canola oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 can (#303) fruit cocktail (do not drain)
Frosting for Fruit Cocktail cake
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Beat all ingredients except fruit cocktail well by hand. Add fruit cocktail and juice last.
Bake in 13 x 9 inch glass baking dish for about 45 minutes. Frost while warm.
Make frosting: Mix all ingredients and bring to a boil in a medium-sized pan. Cook 11â�„2 minutes after it begins to boil. Spread on cake while still warm.
