SIMPLY SOUTHERN BREAKFAST GRITS

3 cups water
1 cup instant grits
1â�„2 pound bacon pieces
1â�„2 pound maple pork sausage
2 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
2 large eggs
In a saucepan, boil the water, then add the instant grits and reduce heat. Stir occasionally until cooked, about 5 minutes.
In a separate saucepan, cook the bacon and sausage, then crumble. Add these meat crumbles to the finished grits along with the cheese.
Scramble the eggs in the saucepan with the leftover bacon and sausage grease. Add the eggs to grits mixture. Serve hot with extra cheese and bacon pieces on top. Makes about 4 servings.
