Cran-Apple Crisp

  • Filling:
  • 3 cups apples
  • 1?2 cup sweetened dried cranberries
  • 1?2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, slightly rounded
  • 1?4 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 tsp. flour
  • Topping:
  • 11?2 cups crushed corn flakes
  • 3?4 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 stick (1?2 cup) butter, melted
Mix fruit:
Mix apples and cranberries in one bowl. Combine dry ingredients in another bowl and mix until well blended.
Pour dry ingredients into the fruit mixture and toss until the fruit is well coated.
Pour mixture into an 8- by 8-inch baking pan.

Make topping:
Combine dry ingredients and toss until well mixed. Add melted butter and mix until all ingredients are moistened.
Spoon onto fruit mixture in pan and spread evenly. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes, or until topping is crisp and the sides are bubbly.
