SUNFLOWER OAT WAFFLES

Ingredients:
  • 1â�„2 cup sunflower seeds (raw)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 TBS applesauce or 1 date or 1â�„2 TBS honey or agave (helps waffle to turn golden brown)
  • 11â�„2 cups oats
  • 1â�„2 tsp. salt
Blend the seeds, water, applesauce, oats and salt in blender until smooth. Preheat waffle iron at medium setting until light goes out. Spray hot iron very sparingly with olive oil spray before pouring batter for the first and pour another, resetting time for 15 minutes. Batter will thicken as it sits in blender so add a little water and blend again to be able to pour.
