BEER CAN CHICKEN
Contributed by: Ashley Wright
Whole roasting chicken (4-5 pounds)
2 to 4 TBS Weber’s Kickin’ Chicken Seasoning
1 can beer
Thoroughly wash chicken. Pat dry. Rub chicken with a light coat of vegetable oil.
Wash beer can and rinse well. Pour out half of the beer and mix 1 TBS seasoning into the rest of the beer (still in the can).
Heat the grill to 275 degrees. Place the beer can into the chicken cavity. Once the grill is heated, place the chicken so the beer can is directly on the grill (if using a beer-can chicken rack, place so the beer can is over indirect heat). Make sure the chicken remains upright.
Pat seasoning all over chicken to make an even coat of seasoning. Cook for 31?2 hours. The internal temperature of the chicken should always be above 170 degrees.
