Basic Cake Frosting

Ingredients: 1 cup Crisco or shortening 2 pounds powered sugar 1/2 cup cold water
Cream the lard, add the sugar and pour cold water on top in an electric mixer. Turn the mixer on and then off quickly to prevent the powdered sugar from flying out of the bowl. Mix until it creamy but not too hard to the touch.
