  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 TBS flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 box vanilla wafers
  • 4 large bananas, sliced
  • 8 oz. whipped topping
In a saucepan, mix together sugar, egg yolks, flour and milk. Stir over medium heat until boiling. Cook for five minutes at a simmer, stirring constantly so it won’t burn.
Remove from heat and add vanilla. Cool, then chill for two hours.
Layer bottom of dish with wafers. Top with sliced bananas, then another layer of wafers, then banana slices. Pour pudding over it all. Top with whipped topping. Refrigerate for 2 or 3 hours before serving.
