Contributed by: Sean Hood
  • 1 TBS oil
  • 2 TBS bourbon
  • 2 TBS honey
  • 3 TBS soy sauce
  • 3 TBS chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 clove garlic, halved
  • 4 tenderloin steaks
  • 1 TBS cornstarch
  • 3 TBS cold water
Combine the oil, bourbon, honey, soy sauce, chili sauce, vinegar and pepper flakes to make a marinade. Rub both sides of the steaks with garlic then add the garlic and steaks to the marinade. Marinate in refrigerator for 2 to 4 hours.
Heat broiler, and broil steaks to desired doneness. While steaks are cooking, blend cornstarch and water.
Place marinade in small sauce pan and bring to a boil. Boil for one minute, stirring constantly. Reduce heat, add cornstarch mixture, and stir until it thickens into a sauce.
Serve steaks with sauce.
