APPLE DUMPLINGS

Ingredients:
  • 1 tube crescent roll dough
  • 1 large or 2 medium Granny Smith apples
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 11/2 cups water
  • Cinnamon or cinnamon sugar
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Unroll crescent roll dough to triangle shapes. Chop apples, and spoon apple pieces over wide end of each dough triangle. Roll up to the small end. Place each in a baking dish.
For sauce, mix butter, sugars and water in saucepan. Bring to a boil and stir to blend well. Pour sauce over rolls. (It may seem like too much liquid, but it will be absorbed.) Sprinkle top with cinnamon or cinnamon sugar.
Place in oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until brown on top.
