  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1?2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup milk, divided
  • 3 cups flour, divided
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 TBS almond extract
Cream sugar, butter, shortening, 1?2 cup milk, 11?2 cups flour and eggs together. Then add the rest of the flour and milk and the almond extract and blend.
Pour into a greased bundt pan or two loaf pans. Place it into a cold oven and then turn temperature dial to 300 degrees. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake tests done.
The flavor of this cake combines well with that of lemon. Slice cake and top each slice with a dollop of Lemon Mousse and a raspberry.
