  • 1 1/2cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup melted butter or margarine
  • 1 pint apple butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Sift together flour, salt and baking soda. Stir in other ingredients except apple butter. Spread half of the mixture over the bottom of a 9- by 12-inch baking dish and press evenly. Spread apple butter over the top. Sprinkle remaining mixture over apple butter and press down lightly. Bake for 45 minutes.
Can be refrigerated overnight and baked the next morning.
