Bread Pudding
Contributed by:
  • 1 unsliced loaf of white bread
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 TBS melted butter
  • 3 cups milk, divided
  • 1/2 TBS vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Trim crust off bread and discard. Cut bread into 1/2 - to 3/4 4-inch squares. Fill a 7- by 11-inch bowl three quarters full with bread.
Mix eggs, sugar, cinnamon, salt, butter and 2 cups milk in a blender. Pour over bread, coating all of the pieces. Pour bread mixture into a baking pan.
Mix 1 cup milk and vanilla and pour evenly over bread mixture. Bake for 1 hour or until set.
