Baked Vidalia Onions
Vegetables & Side Dishes
Contributed by:
  • 4 medium Vidalia onions
  • 4 small beef or chicken
  • bouillon cubes
  • 4 tablespoons butter, separated
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line a small casserole bowl with foil. Cut off tops of onions and peel away outer skin. Core out well of about 1/2 to 1 inch in the tops of onions and put one bouillon cube in each well. Add butter to each onion and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake uncovered for 1 hour.
Make sure onions remain top-up throughout baking.
