Garlicky Green Beans
Vegetables & Side Dishes

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb. fresh green beans
  • 1 TBS butter
  • 1 TBS extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic
  • 1â�„4 cup white wine
  • 1 tsp. low-sodium chicken bouillon crystals
Wash beans well and drain. Trim off tough ends, leaving tender ends intact.
Heat butter and oil on medium high heat in a 12-inch, nonstick skillet. Add the beans and stir to coat with the butter mixture. Meanwhile, peel and mince garlic and add to pan. Lower the heat on medium and cook, stirring often for 4-5 minutes until the beans turn bright green throughout. Add the wine and bouillon crystals. Raise the heat to high and bring the oil to a sizzle. Lower the heat to medium and cook, stirring frequently until the beans are crisp-tender. Season with pepper to taste. Serve at once.
