PEPPERONI PIZZA
Entrees

Ingredients:
  • 21â�„2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1â�„2 tsp. salt
  • 1 package (1â�„4 oz.) rapid rise dry yeast
  • 1 TBS plus 2 tsp. olive oil
  • 3â�„4 cup warm water (between 95 and 115 degrees)
  • 1â�„2 cup pizza sauce
  • 12 oz. mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 11â�„2 oz pepperoni slices
  • (about 25 slices)
  • 1â�„2 tsp. dried oregano
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease a 12- x 9- inch baking sheet.
Sift the flour, adding salt while sifting, into a large bowl. Stir in yeast. Make a well in center of flour and add olive oil and warm water. Mix into a soft ball of dough. Turn onto floured table or surface and knead lightly for about 5 minutes.
Roll dough out and press into prepared baking sheet. Cover and let rest about 10 minutes.
Bake for 5-7 minutes. Remove the crust from oven and drizzle with olive oil.
Spread pizza sauce on top. Lay down cheese slices, then lay down pepperoni. Sprinkle with oregano.
Bake until light brown, about 15-20 minutes.
