Eggs & Cheese

  • 1 slice bread
  • Butter or margarine
  • 1 egg
  • Bacon bits (optional)
  • shredded cheese (optional)
Cut a small hole (about 1-2 inches) in the center of the bread using a cup or cookie cutter and discard the center. Butter the bread on one side. Melt a small amount of butter in the frying pan so the bread won’t stick. Place the buttered side of the bread face down in the frying pan. Crack an egg on the slice of bread with the yolk falling into the hole. Fry the bread and egg like a normal fried egg. After one side is done turn the bread and egg over and cook it until it is lightly brown on both sides.
