Ingredients:
3 pints strawberries, sliced
1⁄2 cup sugar
1 bottle Prosecco• chilled
3 pints lemon sorbet
*sparkling Italian wine
Add sugar to strawberries and set aside for 15 minutes. Add strawberry mixture and sorbet to blender or food processor and blend to combine. Place mixture into freezer until ready to serve.
Just before serving combine half the sorbet mixture and one cup Prosecco. Blend until slushy. Pour into champagne flutes leaving a little room, and top with Prosecco.
Sgroppini is an Italian dessert cocktail we enjoyed a few years ago in Venice. You can omit the strawberries and sugar, or even substitute another fruit.
