  • 4 sticks butter, room temperature
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 TBS vanilla flavoring
  • 1 TBS butter flavoring
  • 1/2 TBS rum flavoring
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 box French vanilla pudding
  • 3/4 cups milk
   Cream butter until light and fluffy. Beat in sugar. Cream until light and fluffy. Beat eggs in one at a time. Beat in the three flavorings. In a separate bowl, mix flour with baking powder, salt and pudding. In third, beat it into the batter alternately with the milk. Pour into cake pans of desired shapes and bake at 325 degrees. An 8-inch pan should bake for 35 minutes; a larger pan for more
time. The cake is done when a thin knife stuck into it comes out clean.
