  • Casserole:
  • 3 cups cooked sweet potatoes, mashed
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg, well-beaten
  • 1â�„4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1â�„2 cup butter, melted
  • 1â�„4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1â�„8 tsp. cloves
  • Topping:
  • 1â�„2 cup brown sugar
  • 1â�„4 cup butter, melted
  • 1â�„2 cup chopped nuts (any kind)
  • 2 cups mini marshmallow, optional

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix casserole ingredients well and spread into a baking dish. Combine sugar, butter and nuts and sprinkle over potato mixture. Sprinkle optional marshmallows on top. Bake 25-30 minutes.
