Grilled Mushrooms and Onions
Vegetables & Side Dishes

  • Whole mushrooms (any kind), large enough not to slip through the grill
  • Onions sliced about 1/2â€� thick (any kind)
Wipe the mushrooms with damp cloth to remove any loose dirt. Do not wash in water or they will become waterlogged.
Put the mushrooms in a bowl and sprinkle on some salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil or vegetable oil and toss with your hands until the mushrooms are lightly coated with oil.
Put the onion slices on a plate and brush with them with oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Put the mushrooms and the onions on the grill and grill them until soft, about five to seven minutes per side.
