BREAD PUDDING

Ingredients:
  • 1 (10 oz.) loaf stale French bread
  • 4 cups milk or
  • 2 cups milk and 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 8 TBS butter, melted
  • 2 TBS vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Mixture should be very moist but not soupy. Pour into a buttered 9-inch-by-9-inch baking dish and place on middle rack of oven. Bake for one hour and 15 minutes or until top is golden brown.
