1 oz. astragalus (can be found in health food stores)
2 oz. white rice
Add the Astragalus to about one cup of water and boil down down to about three ounces. Remove the dregs and reserve the liquid. Add this to the rice plus another cup of water and cook into porridge. Eat warm in the morning and evening. For flavor, brown sugar may be added.
