SAUSAGE GRAVY

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup bacon grease, more or less
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 quarts water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 7 or 8 large cakes sausage, chopped
In a large pot, heat bacon grease until hot. Stir in flour until the mixture resembles peanut butter. Add water and stir until boiling. Add milk and stir until boiling then stir in the sausage. More water may be added to make a thinner gravy.
