Melt-in-your-mouth Boston Butt Roast

  • 7 lb. Boston butt roast
  • 4 TBS salt
  • 3 TBS garlic salt
  • 4 TBS basil leaves
  • 2 TBS garlic powder
  • 2 TBS black pepper
  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup Italian dressing
  • 1 bag small carrots
  • 15-18 small potatoes
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Fill roasting pan half full with water. Put roast in pan and top with salt, garlic salt, basil, garlic powder and black pepper. Pour balsamic vinegar and Italian dressing over roast.
Add carrots and potatoes to the pan.
Cover and cook for four hours.
