Grilled Corn with Garlic Butter
Vegetables & Side Dishes
Contributed by: Robert J. Burns
Ears of corn in the husk
1 stick of butter
1 clove of garlic
Soak the ears of corn in water, but do not remove husks or silks.
Wrap the ears of corn in aluminum foil and grill for about 20 minutes, depending on how hot the grill is. Turn about every five minutes to grill evenly.
Finely dice one clove of garlic or use a garlic press. Put the garlic and the butter in a covered glass or ceramic container and microwave just until the butter is melted.
When the corn is done, peel carefully, holding it with a kitchen towel to avoid burning your fingers. The husks and silks should come off easily. Serve with the garlic butter or with other flavored or plain butter.
Corn can also be microwaved in the husk — there is no need to use foil, waxed paper or plastic wrap.
