Ingredients:
  • 2â�„3 cup buttermilk
  • 1â�„2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 cups self-rising flour
  • Melted butter or vegetable oil for brushing tops of biscuits
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Mix the buttermilk and oil together; blend into flour. Knead the mixture until a dough forms. Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface. Roll dough to a 1�4-inch thickness and cut out biscuits with a cutter. Place on a baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray and brush with melted butter or vegetable oil. Bake until golden brown, about 7 to 10 minutes.
