Ingredients:
  • for cake:
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 4 TBS cocoa
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1â�„2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup coconut
  • for glaze:
  • 4 TBS cocoa
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 4 TBS milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • Dash of salt
  • 1 box confectioner’s sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bring to a boil the water, oil, margarine and cocoa. Boil one minute, stirring constantly. Remove mixture from heat and stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into a 13-by-9-inch baking pan and bake for 35-40 minutes. Ice while hot.

For the glaze:
Bring to a boil all the ingredients except the sugar. Remove from heat and mix in the sugar; pour over cake while it is still hot.
