Festival-goers walk past a stack of Hula Hoops, which are popular items at FloydFest. A crowd of people fill the aisle in front of vendors selling food, clothes, jewelry and other items. Some people shopped; some networked to find new products and vendors for their businesses. Justin Barnett of Durham, N.C., demonstrates his Devil Sticks (also called Fire Sticks) at FloydFest on Friday. “It’s good exercise for the arms as well as the mind,” Barnett said. His friend, Laryssa Baldridge, also of Durham, noted that the Devil Sticks are fun to watch, which makes them fit in well at FloydFest.
