Photo Album
Cari Zimmer (center), Activate director, cuts the ribbon to open the Silverbell Trail in Martinsville while alongside children who attended the opening ceremony at the trailhead. (Bulletin photos by Mike Wray) Montana Young and Dean Smith entertain walkers from their station on the Silverbell Trail on Sunday. Artwork by Ed Dolinger adorns the trail where it intersects with the Dick & Willie Passage.
This is a metal sculpture created by Vance James. It's one of several sculptures along the trail. A choir led by David Pulliam of Christ Episcopal Church sings Christmas carols along the trail. Rebecca Adcock holds her dog, Blarney, who is dressed for the season.
Shown Sunday at the opening of the Silverbell Trail in Martinsville are Martinsville Henry County YMCA Executive Director Brad Kinkema (from left); Vance James, an artist who created bronze sculptures that are found along the Silverbell Trail; Allyson Rothrock, president of The Harvest Foundation; Cari Zimmer, director of Activate; Boy Scout leader Burr Fox and his son Luke Fox; and Sandra and Butch Stultz, who granted the easement for the trail.
