Above, more than 55 volunteers, including members of Patrick Henry Community College’s softball, basketball and soccer teams, form assembly lines to unload more than 1,400 pumpkins Sunday for today’s opening of the Grace Network Pumpkin Patch beside First Baptist Church on Starling Avenue in Martinsville. The patch will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 12:30 to 4 p.m. Sundays.
