Henry County General District CourtMartiniano Orozco Torres of Axton was charged with abduction by force/intimidation, strangling resulting in wound/injury and malicious wounding. The offense allegedly happened July 11, resulting in arrest July 12. The next hearing is in October.

Erica Lynette Walker of Spencer was charged with grand larceny. The offense allegedly happened July 5. The next hearing is in September.

John Paul Whitlow of Spencer was charged with DWI first offense. The offense allegedly happened July 3. The next hearing is in October.

A judge sent to circuit court a charge of animal torture causing death against Jacob Matthews Gammons of Bassett. The offense allegedly happened March 5, resulting in arrest March 6.

A judge sent to circuit court a charge of shoplifting less than $500 third offense against Jacob Matthews Gammons of Collinsville. The offense allegedly happened Feb. 11, resulting in arrest Feb. 27.

A judge sent to circuit court a charge of petty larceny (felony) against Amanda Dawn Manning of Bassett. The offense allegedly happened March 25, resulting in arrest March 29.

A judge sent to circuit court a charge of DWI third offense against Timothy Kevin Truman of Bassett. The offense allegedly happened March 21.

Tina Marie Brinkley of Trinity, N.C., was charged with malicious wounding. The offense allegedly happened March 31. The next hearing is in October.

Anthony Tyrone Menefee of Martinsville was charged with possession/transport of a weapon by a violent felon. The offense allegedly happened July 18. The next hearing is in September.

Christopher Allan Ramsey of Stuart was charged with driving after declared habitual offender. The offense allegedly happened March 30. The next hearing is in late July.

Rena Shiann Hundley of Ridgway was found guilty of DWI second offense. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail, license suspended for 3 years, ordered to complete VASAP and to pay a fine of $750 plus costs. The offense happened on April 15.

Larry Vernell Terrell Jr. of Martinsville pleaded guilty to DWI 2nd offense. The offense happened July 12. The next hearing is in late July.

Conis L. Callaway Jr. of Bassett was charged with bomb/burn threat-accused older than 15. The offense allegedly happened April 29. resulting in arrest May 4. The next hearing is in August.

Kelando Devon Carter of Martinsville was charged with DWI second offense. The offense allegedly happened June 29. The next hearing is in November.

Victoria Walker Cumbee of Ridgeway was charged with grand larceny-auto theft. The offense allegedly happened July 15, resulting in arrest July 19. The next hearing is in October.

William Leslie Perdue of Collinsville was charged with eluding police. The offense allegedly happened July 21. The next hearing is in October.

James Morris Adkins of Bassett was charged with grand larceny-auto theft. The offense allegedly happened May 18, resulting in arrest May 20. He was denied bond on July 22. The next hearing is in August.

Kin Marie Dawn Kennon of Bassett was charged with prisoner possession of an unlawful chemical. She was granted $5,000 secured bond on July 22. The offense allegedly happened June 8, resulting in arrest June 10. The next hearing is in September.

Robert Truman Stone of Martinsville was charged with attempted malicious wounding, use of firearm in a felony first offense, gun possession with schedule I/II drug, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He is held without bond. The offense allegedly happened July 10. The next hearing is in September.

Henry County Circuit Court

Dennis Neal Harris Jr. of Martinsville was charged with use of a firearm to commit felony and robbery with a deadly weapon. He pleaded not guilty on July 18. The judge dismissed a charge of firearm possession by a violent felon. The offenses allegedly happened July 6, 2018, resulting in arrest July 25. The next hearing is in September.

Trey Michael Severt of Collinsville was charged with heroin distribution. He pleaded guilty to distribution of schedule I/II controlled substance. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison with 4 years and 6 months suspended, 3 years of probation and ordered to pay $395 restitution plus costs. The offense happened Dec. 20, 2017, resulting in arrest Jan. 30.
