EDITOR’S NOTE: The Martinsville Bulletin will report court proceedings in Henry County and Martinsville district and circuit courts, except some juvenile cases and traffic citations other than DUI. Claims in all civil suits are reported, except in custody cases. All claims as filed with the courts represent only one side of the case. The newspaper does not omit any names that qualify to be included. The information is compiled from court documents by the Bulletin.

Henry County District Court

Charles Johnson Belcher of Bassett was charged with two counts of assault on law enforcement/dept. of corrections person, destruction of property with intent to steal, eluding/disregarding police and bomb/burn threat. His next hearing is set for August. The offenses allegedly happened June 9.

Emily Alexandria Aaron was charged with DWI 2nd offense. She was found guilty of DWI 1st offense. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 26 days suspended and her driver’s license suspended for 1 year. She is also ordered to complete VASAP and pay a fine of $200 plus costs. The offense happened Jan. 27.

A judge sent to circuit court three charges of forging public records, three charges of forging: employ records as true, and three charges of identity theft: obtaining ID to avoid arrest against Brandi Nicole Custer of Martinsville. The offenses allegedly happened Feb. 10.

Sheila Gaye Dillon of Bassett was charged with grand larceny and entering structure to commit assault and battery. Her next hearing will be in Sept. The offenses allegedly happened Jan. 25.

Kin Marie Dawn Kennon of Bassett was charged with prisoner possession of an unlawful chemical. Her next hearing will be in September. The offense allegedly happened June 8.

Ruben Canela Nunez of Bassett was charged with gun possession by unlawful alien. His next hearing will be in Aug. The offense allegedly happened April 11.

Jennifer Nicole Swinney of Axton was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance and prisoner possession of an unlawful chemical. Her next hearing will be in September. The offenses allegedly happened June 8.

Mikayla Jae Thomas of Collinsville was charged with prisoner possession of unlawful chemical. Her next hearing will be in September. The offense allegedly happened June 8.

Mitchell O’Shea Wilson of Axton was charged with two counts of possession/transport of a weapon by a violent felon, eluding police, and driving after declared habitual offender. His next hearing will be in September. The offenses allegedly happened June 11.

Thomas Floyd Wilson Jr. of Ridgeway was charged with malicious wounding. His next hearing will be in September. The offense allegedly happened July 7.

Rodrickus Antonio Jamison Jr. of Martinsville was charged with use of a firearm in a felony first offense, robbery of a residence and firearm larceny. His next hearing will be in July. The offenses allegedly happened May 28.

Debbie Lynn Scott of Martinsville was charged with obtaining credit card number: larceny and petty larceny (felony). Her next hearing will be in August. The offenses allegedly happened May 21.

Stephanie Grant Kropira of Thomasville, N.C., was charged with grand larceny and obtaining credit card number: larceny. Her next hearing will be later this month. The offenses allegedly happened Sept. 20.

A judge sent to circuit court a charge of petty larceny (felony) against Timothy Scott Pickurel of Martinsville. His charge was amended to shoplifting less than $500 third offense. The offense allegedly happened on Feb. 15.

A judge sent to circuit court two charges of grand larceny against Paul Trent of Patrick Springs. The offenses allegedly happened March 30 and April 6.

Shaunnita Helms of Patrick Springs was charged with grand larceny: auto theft. She has been placed on the fugitive file. The offense allegedly happened Dec. 14.

A judge sent to circuit court a charge of entering a structure to commit assault and battery and grand larceny: more than $200 (not personal) against William Jackson Kennedy of Martinsville. The offenses allegedly happened Sept. 3, 2017.

Juventino Mendez-Parra of Eden, N.C., was found guilty of DWI first offense. He was sentenced to 1 month in jail, with 1 month suspended, and his license was suspended for 1 year. He is also ordered to complete VASAP and pay a fine of $250 plus costs. The offense happened May 12.

James Robert Belcher of Martinsville was found guilty of DWI first offense. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 25 days suspended, and his license was suspended for 1 year. He is also ordered to complete VASAP and pay a fine of $285 plus costs. The offense happened Feb. 1.

Henry County Circuit Court

Deonandre Hamlett Bradley of Martinsville was charged with grand larceny. He was found guilty of petty larceny. He was sentenced to 1 year in jail, with 1 year suspended, and ordered to pay $400 restitution plus costs. The offense happened May 19, 2018.

Steven Lewis Meadows of Boones Mill was charged with grand larceny. His trial is set for September. The offense allegedly happened on Aug. 2.

Ralph Lawrence Nixon of Axton pled guilty to felony hit and run and property damage greater than $1,000. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, with 10 years suspended, 2 years of supervised probation, and ordered to pay $2,685.62 restitution plus costs. The offenses happened Jan. 12, 2018.

Dustin Ray Matherly of Stanleytown was charged with grand larceny and breaking and entering with intent to commit larceny. Plea hearing is set for later in June. The offenses allegedly happened on Jan 23, 2018.

A judge dismissed but may reopen later two charges of receiving stolen firearm, possession of firearm while possessing heroin with intent to distribute, possession of firearm by violent felon and possession of heroin with intent to distribute against Eric Dwayne Wright of Axton. The offenses allegedly happened Jan. 2.

Joshua Lane Wisener of Martinsville was charged with use of firearm to commit felony. His trial is set for Sept. The offense allegedly happened Jan. 25.

Pamela Renee Draper-Cabiness of Martinsville was charged with nine counts of making false statements to Medicaid, two counts of forgery, two counts of uttering, and obtaining money under false pretenses greater than $200. She was appointed counsel. Her trail is to be set. The offenses allegedly happened on May 05, 2011, Nov. 17, 2011, Dec. 15, 2011, May 3, 2012, June 14, 2012, July 12, 2012, July 30, 2012, Nov. 15, 2012, and Feb. 21, 2013. Defendant was arrested on May 21.

Martinsville District Court

Marquis Antonio Waller of Martinsville was charged with two counts of assault and battery of law enforcement/dept. of corrections person, malicious shooting at train or car, attempted robbery on street with gun, use of firearm in felony first offense, shooting in public place, causing injury, destruction of property greater than $1,000, shooting in an occupied building and attempted first-degree murder. The offenses allegedly happened on June 2, resulting in arrest on June 12.

A judge dismissed but may reopen later a case of welfare fraud: larceny greater than $200 against Nekianeron Turner of Martinsville. The offense allegedly happened April 1, 2014.

David Allen Brown of Martinsville was charged with possession of a gun (with previous conviction of a nonviolent felony). His next hearing will be in July. The offense allegedly happened June 5.

Kristel Lynn Bashaw of Martinsville was charged with grand larceny: auto theft. Her next hearing is in July. The offense allegedly happened April 15.

A judge sent to circuit court a charge of grand larceny: auto theft against Mark Wayne Mays of Bassett. The offense allegedly happened May 21.

Curtis Orlando Walker of Martinsville was charged with malicious wounding. His next hearing is in July. The offense allegedly happened Feb. 23.

A judge sent to circuit court a charge of failure to perform promise for construction of more than $200 and a charge of a charge of failure to perform promise for construction of more than $500 against Kendrick Lorenze Redd of Martinsville. The offenses allegedly happened Sept. 20, 2017.

A judge sent to circuit court a charge of manufacturing a controlled substance, felony gun possession, and possession of gun on person with schedule I/II substance against Carlos Demontae Spencer of Martinsville. The offenses allegedly happened May 8.

Martinsville Circuit Court

A judge dismissed but may later reopen a charge of felony property damage, malicious shooting in an occupied dwelling and shooting firearm from vehicle against Sierra Shauntel Jones of Martinsville. The offenses allegedly happened on Feb. 18, 2018.

Danielle Nicole Price of Martinsville was charged with shoplifting third offense and felony failure to appear in court. Trial is set for September. The offenses allegedly happened on April 8, 2018.

Dashaye Trevor Simon of Martinsville was charged with two counts of possession of ammunition by felon, possession of firearm by violent felon, possession of gun with schedule I/II drug, distribution of marijuana, possession of oxycodone, and possession of cocaine. His trial is set for September. The offenses allegedly happened April 5, 2018.

Delberia Bradley Alcorn of Martinsville was charged with four counts of distribution of fentanyl. Her trial is set for July. The offenses allegedly happened Jan. 11, 2018, Jan. 23, 2018, Feb. 7, 2018, and April 3, 2018.

Augustin Mario Salgado of Ringgold was charged with unlawful wounding and grand larceny greater than $500 (not personal). His trial is set for July. The offenses allegedly happened Nov. 9.

Michael Jonathan Taylor of Collinsville was charged with credit card fraud greater than $500 in 6 minutes, identity theft: financial loss greater than $500, and receiving stolen credit card number. His trial is set for July. The offenses allegedly happened July 8.

Kristin Ross Adams of Martinsville pled guilty to heroin possession and possession of firearm while possessing heroin. Her sentencing will be in October. The offenses happened Jan. 15, 2018.

Stanley Aiken of Martinsville was charged with larceny: third subsequent offense. His next hearing will be in July. The offense allegedly happened Feb. 20, 2018.

Dorian Latray Moss of Martinsville was charged with distribution of cocaine second offense. He pled guilty to distribution of cocaine first offense. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison, with 4 years and 1 month suspended, 2 years of probation, his license was suspended for 6 months, and he was ordered to pay costs. The judge dismissed but may later reopen three charges of distributing cocaine 2nd offense and a charge of conspiracy to distribute cocaine. The offenses happened Dec. 05, 2017, Jan. 12, 2018, Feb. 7, 2018 and Apr. 3 2018.

Carlos Demontae Spencer of Martinsivlle was charged with two counts of distributing cocaine. His trial is set for August. The offenses allegedly happened Oct. 6, 2017 and Feb. 5, 2018.

Patrick County District Court

Feliciano Alvarez Bello of Candor, N.C., was charged with paying or receiving admission for an animal fight. His preliminary hearing will be in August. The offense allegedly happened June 1.

Carmelo Arellano of Stantonburg, N.C., was charged with paying or receiving admission for an animal fight. His preliminary hearing will be in August. The offense allegedly happened June 1.

Javier Arroyo Aguilar of Asheboro, N.C., was charged with paying or receiving admission for an animal fight. His preliminary hearing will be in August. The offense allegedly happened June 1.

Phillip Andrew Baldwin of Mount Airy, N.C., was charged with paying or receiving admission for an animal fight. His preliminary hearing will be in August. The offense allegedly happened June 1.

Zachary Tyler Barker of Patrick Springs was charged with prisoner possession of a deadly weapon. His preliminary hearing will be in September. The offense allegedly happened on June 10.

Fernando Antonio Briones of Greensboro, N.C., was charged with waging money on animal fight. His preliminary hearing will be in August. The offense allegedly happened June 1.

Octavio Carvajal Osorio of Snow Hill, N.C., was charged with paying or receiving admission for an animal fight. His preliminary hearing will be in August. The offense allegedly happened June 1.

Hernan Cortes Santos of Dobson, N.C., was charged with paying or receiving admission for an animal fight. His preliminary hearing will be in August. The offense allegedly happened June 1.

Julia Crispin Dominguez of Elkin, N.C., was charged with paying or receiving admission for an animal fight. Her preliminary hearing will be in August. The offense allegedly happened June 1.

John Edward Dellenback of Ararat was charged with paying or receiving admission for an animal fight. His preliminary hearing will be in August. The offense allegedly happened June 1.

Samuel Vargas Diaz of Biscoe, N.C.,was charged with paying or receiving admission for an animal fight. His preliminary hearing will be in August. The offense allegedly happened June 1.

Raul Duran Belman of Candor, N.C., was charged with paying or receiving admission for an animal fight. He has been placed on the fugitive file.

Roger Dean Edwards of Marion, N.C., was charged with waging money on animal fight. His preliminary hearing will be in August. The offense allegedly happened June 1.

Oscar Garcia Galindo of Ridgeway was charged with paying or receiving admission for an animal fight. His preliminary hearing will be in August. The offense allegedly happened June 1.

Mauricio Garcia of Elkin, N.C., was charged with paying or receiving admission for an animal fight. His preliminary hearing will be in August. The offense allegedly happened June 1.
