Katrina Danielle Secrest of Axton was charged with two counts of manufacturing a controlled substance and a charge of prisoner possession of an unlawful chemical. Her next arraignment hearing is in July. The offenses allegedly happened June 16.

Christopher Justin Stegall of Bassett was charged with grand larceny and obtaining money under false pretenses greater than $500. The offenses allegedly happened Jan. 20.

Mary Ann Turner of Bassett was charged with malicious wounding and robbery of residence with a gun. Her next hearing is in August. The offenses allegedly happened June 14.

A judge sent to circuit court a charge of DWI with prior related felony conviction against Herbert Randolph Rigney Jr. of Ridgeway. The offense allegedly happened April 19.

A judge sent to circuit court a charge of felony offender escaping without violence and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle against Michael Richard Jenkins of Martinsville. The offenses allegedly happened April 5.

A judge sent to circuit court a charge of fraudulent conversion or removal of property of more than $500 against Andrew Todd Kallam of Ridgeway. The offense allegedly happened Aug. 14.

Franklin Dean Underwood II of Bassett was charged with public records forgery. His next hearing is in August. The offense allegedly happened June 14.

Henry County Criminal Circuit Court

Gregory Dean Hampton of Martinsville was found guilty of two counts of felony violation habitual offender. He pled guilty to two counts of driving without a license. He was ordered to pay a fine of $200 plus costs. The offenses happened March 17, 2017.

A judge dismissed but may reopen later two counts of receiving a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm while possessing heroin with intent to distribute, possession of firearm by a violent felon and possession of heroin with intent to distribute against Michael H.D. Wright of Martinsville. He is still facing charges of possession of a firearm while possessing cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a violent felon, and possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute. The offenses allegedly happened Jan. 2, 2018.

Marcus Eugene Penn of Collinsville was charged with grand larceny. His next hearing is in June. The offense allegedly happened Feb. 28.

Ashley Kathleen Bender of Bassett was charged with two counts of heroin distribution and a charge of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Her next hearing will be in July. The offenses allegedly happened on May 25, 2018, and May 29, 2018.

Johnathan Todd Boyer of Bumpass was charged with cocaine distribution. His next hearing is in July. The offense allegedly happened Sept. 25, 2017.

Martinsville Criminal District Court

Amy Barnes Boyd of Martinsville was charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit felony at night/burglary, petty larceny (felony), obtaining credit card number/larceny, destruction of property with intent to steal and possession of burglary tools. Her next hearing will be in July. The offense allegedly happened on May 13.

Timothy Wayne Channell of Portsmouth, Ohio, was charged with failure to return rental property worth more than $500. His next hearing will be in July. The offense allegedly happened Aug. 13, 2018.

Martinsville Criminal Circuit Court

Michael Shane Wilson of Axton pled guilty to two counts of uttering/other forgery and two counts of employ as true/other forgery. 2 additional counts of uttering/forgery and two counts of employ as true/forgery were dismissed. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison, with 5 years suspended, 3 years of supervised probation and ordered to pay $291.86 in restitution plus costs. The offenses happened March 23.

A judge dismissed but may later reopen a charge of employment records as true/forgery against Adam Leon Mullins of Rocky Mount. The offenses allegedly happened March 5.

James Dakota Tolliver of Martinsville was charged with aggravated malicious wounding, use of firearm in felony first offense and recklessness with a gun/serious injury. He gave an Alford plea on June 18. His next hearing is in July. The offenses allegedly happened Sept. 21, 2018.

Ronald Gene Edward Jr. of Ridgeway pled not guilty to a charge of heroin possession with intent to distribute and fentanyl possession with intent to distribute. His next hearing is in July. The offenses allegedly happened May 25, 2018.

Joseph Michael Johnson of Martinsville was charged with hydrocodone distribution third offense, cocaine distribution third offense, heroin distribution 3rd offense, methamphetamine distribution third offense and conspiracy to distribute drug. He pled not guilty on June 18. His next hearing is in July. The offenses allegedly happened on Jan. 23, 2018.

Patrick County Criminal District Court

Audelio Almaguer Barrow of Winston Salem, N.C., was charged with paying/receiving admission for an animal fight. The preliminary hearing will be in September. The offense allegedly happened on June 1.

Alejandro Barrera Adame of Cooleemee was charged with paying/receiving admission for an animal fight. The preliminary hearing will be in September. The offense allegedly happened on June 1.

Montoya Luis Chavez of Mount Airy, N.C., was charged with paying/receiving admission for an animal fight. The preliminary hearing will be in September. The offense allegedly happened on June 1.

William Dean Lineback of Ararat was charged with entering house to commit assault and battery. Trial is pending. The offense allegedly happened on June 8.

Hannah Elizabeth Thompson of Mount Airy pled no contest to DWI: 1st offense. Sentence is 45 days, with 45 suspended, 12 months of unsupervised probation. Her license is suspended for a year, she is ordered to complete VASAP, and she is to pay a fine of $250 plus costs. The offense happened on March 31.

Lionel Shawn Smith of Patrick Springs was charged with grand larceny: more than $200 (not personal). His next hearing will be later in June. The offense allegedly happened on Sept. 30, 2016.

Patrick County Criminal Circuit Court

H. H. King III of Loris, S.C., was charged with uttering, obtaining money under false pretenses, and felony failure to appear in court. His next hearing is in July. The offenses allegedly happened Feb. 2, 2018, and May 22.

Edward August Noll II of Mount Airy, N.C., was charged with strangulation, and threat to bomb/burn. His presentencing report will be in December. The offenses allegedly happened on April 22, 2018.
