The remaining indictments returned by a Martinsville Circuit Court grand jury on July 22 have been unsealed.

In all, the grand jury returned 228 indictments on July 22, 166 of which were sealed until served or for five days under an order by Judge G. Carter Greer.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt. It is a grand jury’s determination that enough evidence exists to have a trial.

Some 32 of those charged in the indictments were arrested last week.
