Frank Joseph Radnoczi, 76 of Martinsville, Va., passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019 at his home. Born October 8, 1942 in McDowell County, W.Va., he was a son of the late Joseph and Agnes Holak Radnoczi. In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Dillon.
Left to cherish his memory are his best friend and companion of 39 years, Sharon Wayne; brother, Terry Radnoczi and his wife, Karen; sister, Nel Hammock and her husband, Robert; brother-in-law, William Dillon; nephews, Brian Dillon, Tim Hammock and his wife, Tabitha, and Ben Hammock; and two special great nephews, Chase and Jacob Hammock.
He graduated from Gary High School in Gary, W.Va. and attended Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He continued his education and obtained a Masters Degree in counseling from Radford University.
Frank was a teacher, counselor, and coach of every sport imaginable with Henry County public schools. Having served the community with over 35 years in education, Frank eventually retired from Rockingham County, N.C. public schools.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Starling Avenue Baptist Church with pastors Brian and Ashley Harrington officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the church, the day of the service, from 10 to 11 a.m.
