To the editor:

For some 30 years on Susan Drive in Ccollinsville we have planted flowers along the road and kept the grass cut. We had awesome lilies blooming and Rose of Sharon. No problem until July 9, when a state employee came along and mowed down everything.

This man said he was told to mow the right-of-way and did not know they were flowers in full blooms. He did not know what flowers looked like? Why are blind men mowing?

What makes it so crazy at the same time someone is spending thousands to plant flowers on U.S. 220 Please tell this man what you are planting. He may mow them all down tomorrow.
