CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Floyd County and Virginia Tech graduate Amanda Hollandsworth was in 141st place at the U.S. Women's Open when her second round was suspended after 11 holes due to darkness Friday night.
Hollandsworth, who had a 7-over 78 on Thursday, was 6-over on Friday. She is at 13-over through 29 holes. She will complete her second round Saturday. She is not projected to make the cut.
She began her second round with a double bogey on the par-four No. 1 hole. She was 6-over on the front nine, including five bogeys and a birdie. She then bogeyed the 10th and birdied the 11th.
Her second round was interrupted at one point by a weather delay of almost two hours before play resumed.
